Accomplished Trial Attorneys

John A. Zohlman III installed as the 2023-2024 President of the Southern New Jersey Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA)

John Zohlman has recently been elected as the President of the Southern New Jersey Chapter of ABOTA for 2023-2024. ABOTA is an invitation-only national association of 7,300 highly experienced trial lawyers and Judges. The association includes lawyers representing either Plaintiffs and/or Defendants and strives for a balance in its membership. ABOTA’s primary goal is the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials. It seeks to educate the American public about the history and value of the right to trial by jury and the preservation of a fair, impartial and independent judiciary. The organization is dedicated to elevating the standards of skill, integrity, honor, professionalism and courtesy in the legal profession.

On the local level, the Chapter furthers the message of ABOTA through the law practices of its members and the relationships which are cultivated with other attorneys and the judiciary. Mr. Zohlman’s plans for the new year include increasing membership, furthering civics educational programs and the initiation of a scholarship program for local high school, college and/or law students who are seeking to pursue a career in the legal profession.
